I left my wallet/coat behind in the venue last night, how can I get it back?Come into the Union Bar on the second floor of the Student's Union during normal opening hours (11.30am-1am, Mon- Fri, or 4pm-9pm Sat and Sun) and a member of staff will assist you.

[gig name] is sold out. Do you have any tickets in reserve?Generally, once a gig is sold out, no further tickets are released by us. In the unlikely case that extra tickets become available, we will advertise it via our social media channels and put them on general sale. We cannot respond to individual requests for tickets for sold out events.

Is the venue Wheelchair accessible?Yes, Mandela Hall is located on the ground floor of the new Student's Union building and wheelchair access is available from the Elmwood Avenue entrance. For pre-sold events, we give priority entry to wheelchair users, so please show up ahead of the general admission time and approach a member of our staff for assistance. Where can I find stage times for events?Stage times will be posted on our social media channels as soon as they are confirmed. We will not respond to any mails/messages requesting stage times in advance of this. Please note, posted stage times are for reference only and may be subject to last minute changes. It is your responsibility to arrive at the date and time stated on your ticket. Refunds will not be issued where the show has happened within the published date and time on your ticket. It is advisable that you allow adequate time to gain entry and grab a drink before the gig starts. For sold-out shows, we recommend allowing 30mins.

Can I bring in my own food/drink to an event?Unless it specifically says so on your ticket, no.

Can I buy tickets from third-party resellers?We would advise customers against buying from any other ticketing agent or reseller other than those listed on our website. We cannot guarantee the validity of tickets bought through third-party resellers.

What can I do if the event is rescheduled?If an event is rescheduled, you will be offered access to the rescheduled event using your original ticket for no extra charged. If the rescheduled date is unsuitable, refunds will be available from point of purchase. Refunds cannot be issued via the mandela hall contact form or social media channels.

What can I do if the event is cancelled?If an event is cancelled, you will be entitled to a refund of the ticket price unless otherwise stated by your point of purchase. Refunds cannot be issued via the Mandela Hall contact form nor social media channels.

I've misplaced my ticket for an upcoming gig, what can I do?We are not liable for any tickets that have been misplaced, damaged or stolen. For electronic tickets, make sure your tickets are accessible and that your device is fully charged before trying to gain entry. We are not liable for electronic tickets that cannot be accessed.

What are the ticketing terms and conditions?Ticketing terms are conditions may vary from one event to another. Check your ticket for complete terms and conditions. If you have any further ticketing questions, contact your point of sale.

Can I use my mobile phone to capture images or videos?Yes, unless otherwise signposted or indicated on your ticket, but please ensure you're not obstructing the view of other attendees. Flash photography is not permitted.

Is there an age restriction?Unless otherwise stated on your ticket, all shows are 18+ and you may be asked by security to verify your age.

If a parent or other adult accompanies someone who is under 18, are they allowed in?Unless otherwise stated on your ticket, our shows are strictly 18+ and, unfortunately, no one under this age can be admitted, whether accompanied or not.

Is my show seated or standing.Comedy shows are generally seated, unless otherwise advertised. For live music, it varies, so check the gig listing on our site, or refer to the ticket listing. In all cases, seating is unassigned.

Is crowd-surfing or moshing allowed?To keep you and other concert-goers safe, moshing and crowd-surfing is not allowed and offenders may be removed from the event without refund.

Can I heckle at comedy nights?We're fairly sure we're not as witty as you think you are. Heckling and persistent loud talking during comedy events is not allowed. Verbal or other abuse to any comedian, staff member or audience member will result in you being asked to leave without refund.

I was asked to leave an event by security. Can I have my money back?No.

Is there a bar?For the majority of our shows, a bar will be open. There is a bar inside the venue and one in the entrance foyer. Sometimes a performer will request that the bar inside the venue is closed for the duration of their performance.

Do you accept cash at the bar?Mandela Hall is a cashless venue. We accept card, contactless and phone payments only.

Where is Mandela Hall?Mandela Hall is located in One Elmwood Student Centre, Elmwood Avenue, Belfast.

Is there a car park?No, there is on-street parking near the venue and regular buses which stop outside the Student's Union building, on University Road. There are two train stations withing ten minutes walk, at Botanic and City Hospital.

Where is the nearest bus-centre/train station?The nearest bus station is the Europa Bus Station on Great Victoria street. There are regular buses to the venue from Belfast City centre. The nearest train station is Botanic Avenue. We shall not be liable for any losses or injuries incurred for personal arrangements, such as travel or accommodation relating to the event.

Is there accommodation?The Mandela Hall and Student's Union do not offer accommodation. Due to our central location, there are plenty of hotels, hostels and B&Bs within walking distance.
